Burglary Beast Nabbed After Ransacking Wiltshire Homes
Soloman Jeffers, 55, from Wiltshire Road, Harnham, faced the hammer today at Salisbury Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to three daylight burglaries in Salisbury this June.
Jewellery and Guitar Stolen in Daytime Raids
Jeffers broke into homes while families were out, stealing jewellery packed with sentimental value, plus silverware and a guitar. The guitar was later found at his home.
Cunning Cops Crack the Case with Pawn Shop CCTV
Detectives from Operation Fortitude tracked Jeffers down after spotting him hawking stolen jewels on city pawn shop CCTV. They swiftly arrested him and recovered the guitar.
Detective Sergeant Darren Penny said: “Burglary hits victims hard. It’s not just the theft — it’s the invasion of their sanctuary. Many stolen items carried irreplaceable sentimental value.”
“Wiltshire Police takes this crime seriously. We’re committed to catching offenders and delivering justice.”
