Blaze Breaks Out at Queenborough Warehouse – Five Fire Engines Rush In
Smoke billowed over Thomsett Way in Queenborough, Kent, as a fierce fire tore through a commercial warehouse on Friday afternoon.
Emergency Services Respond Swiftly
Just after 12:30pm on 9 May 2025, Kent Fire and Rescue Service scrambled five fire engines and a specialist bulk water carrier to the scene in the Swale district. Crews are battling hard to control the blaze and stop it from spreading further.
“If you’re in the surrounding area, you may notice smoke, but please be assured our crews are working hard to extinguish the flames and keep the scene safe,” said fire officials.
No Injuries as Firefighters Tackle Hot Spots
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Firefighters remain on site, dampening hot spots and checking the building’s structure for risks. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Residents Told to Stay Indoors
Locals and businesses are warned to keep windows and doors shut to avoid smoke inhalation and steer clear of the area while emergency crews work.
