Sex fiend James Frost locked up for 11 years after terrorising women in Southend
James Frost went on a terrifying rampage in Southend, attacking two women he’d only just met in March this year.
Attacks just days apart
In the early hours of 27 March, Frost assaulted a woman at his home on Kursaal Way. She fought back and escaped his clutches.
Only three days later, on 30 March, Frost smashed into another Southend address and sexually assaulted the woman inside. Once again, the victim managed to fend him off.
Violent confrontation with police
Later that same day, officers arrived at Frost’s home to arrest him. The 39-year-old viciously assaulted two police officers trying to restrain him.
Frost was charged and pleaded guilty on 10 June to one count of rape, one of assault by penetration, and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
Justice served at Basildon Crown Court
On Tuesday 3 November, Frost was sentenced to 11 years behind bars, with an additional five years on extended licence.
“James Frost subjected two women he did not know to horrific ordeals,” said investigating officer PC Caroline Thrower. “He is clearly a dangerous offender and Essex is a safer place with him behind bars.
“I want to praise the bravery of the two women he attacked and their courage throughout this investigation.
“I hope knowing he will spend a significant time in prison will help them to move forward.”
