Toddler Mauled to Death in Northwich House Horror

Brandon Heath, 22, has been locked up for 13 years and six months after attacking a 22-month-old toddler in Northwich. The girl sadly died the day after the brutal assault on 30 August 2020, Cheshire Police confirmed.

Mother Calls Heath a “Monster”

The toddler’s mother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, described Heath as a “monster.” While she was away giving a friend a lift, Heath attacked the little girl at the home. Emergency services found her unresponsive and struggling to breathe after Heath lied, claiming he found her “collapsed on the floor.”

Catastrophic Injuries Like a Car Crash

The child was rushed to hospital for emergency neurosurgery but tragically couldn’t be saved. A post-mortem revealed devastating injuries: a massive brain injury, bleeding around the eyes, bruises, rib fractures, and nerve damage in the neck.

Detective Inspector Adam Waller said the medical evidence showed a “sudden catastrophic assault,” with injuries likened to a “road traffic collision or multi-storey fall.” He called the case “indescribably tragic.”

Heath Convicted of Manslaughter After Trial

Heath, who has no fixed address, was arrested almost a year later in July 2021. Cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter at Chester Crown Court, he spent the trial blaming the toddler’s mother — despite her absence during the attack.

The little girl’s mother thanked police for “bringing the truth to light and bringing that monster to justice,” but added her “heart aches every day.”
