Pervert Ian Draper Caught with Over 1,000 Sick Child Abuse Images

Ian Draper accessed more than 1,000 indecent images since 2011 — including dozens in the most vile Category A. The 56-year-old blamed “difficulties” in his life for falling back into his twisted habit.

Disturbing Content Discovered on Draper’s Devices

Police swooped on Draper’s home last December after receiving intelligence. They seized phones, a laptop, and a hard drive. Analysis uncovered:

  • 77 Category A images (most serious) plus one video
  • 137 Category B images and a video
  • 864 Category C images and a video

Shockingly, one prohibited image showed a Simpsons cartoon depicting sex involving child characters. Even more disturbing, two extreme videos featured bestiality — adult sex acts with a sheep and a horse.

Youngest Victims Just Three Years Old

The youngest child in the images was estimated to be just three years old, with most between nine and 16. Most of the images had been deleted but could still be recovered.

Draper Admits Guilt, Blames Life Struggles

“He made full and frank admissions and accepted total responsibility,” said prosecutor Laura Culley. “He said he started with adult porn but it escalated to teenagers. Problems in 2013/14 and again in 2018/19 saw him relapse.”

Draper pled guilty to six charges of making indecent images, possession of a prohibited image, and possessing extreme pornography. He had installed software to enable anonymous browsing.

Defence lawyer Ryah O’Donnell revealed Draper had no previous convictions and was now seeing a therapist. Draper’s wife wrote to the court warning a prison sentence would devastate their family.

Suspended Sentence and Tough Restrictions Imposed

On 12 August at Birmingham Crown Court, Draper received an eight-month sentence suspended for two years. He must comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and notify authorities for the next decade.
