Man, 62, Stabbed to Death in Kensal Green Cemetery

Detectives believe the victim of a brutal stabbing at St Mary’s Cemetery, Kensal Green, is 62-year-old Michael Morris Owens from Brent. Formal ID is pending, but police are confident about the ID.

Tragedy Strikes in Broad Daylight

The stabbing took place at around 2pm on Sunday, 22 November. Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene after police were alerted. Despite their heroic efforts, Michael was pronounced dead at the cemetery.

Suspect Charged With Murder

Cornelius Tully, 50, of High Street, Brent, was arrested and charged with murder the following day. He appeared at Harlesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 24 November, and was remanded in custody. Tully is due to face Old Bailey on Thursday, 26 November.
