Early Morning Horror: Woman Threatened and Robbed on Rochester High Street

A woman in her 20s was walking along Rochester High Street at around 3:10am on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021, when disaster struck.
According to reports, a man riding a bicycle threatened her with violence before snatching her handbag. Inside were her bank card, make-up, perfume, and other personal items.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
Kent Police launched an immediate inquiry. Within hours, they arrested a 44-year-old man from Gillingham connected to the snatch-and-grab.
Though released on bail as investigations continued, he has since been formally charged with one count of robbery.
Man Remanded Ahead of Court Hearing
The accused appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was remanded in custody ahead of his next court date at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, February 3.
