Crime Squad Snags Till-Tampering Duo in Multi-County Spree
Cash Till Burglaries Spread Across South East England
Police have been cracking down on a string of cash till thefts across Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Sussex, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, and London. Between September 9, 2021, and April 8, 2022, shop tills were being forced open and money stolen, sparking an intense investigation by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.
Duo Arrested in Dagenham Sting
On Wednesday 13 April, officers swooped in Dagenham, Greater London, arresting a man and a woman in a car. Two mobile phones were seized during the arrest. The man, 39-year-old Bradley Pogmore from Foxlands Road, Dagenham, faces 45 counts of burglary.
Charges Laid for Burglary Spree
Bradley Pogmore is charged with 45 burglaries, including 11 at shops in Maidstone, Aylesford, Gillingham, Sevenoaks, Broadstairs, and Tunbridge Wells. His alleged accomplice, 43-year-old Kelly Hart from New London Road, Chelmsford, Essex, faces 16 burglary charges.
Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance
Both Pogmore and Hart were remanded in custody. They are due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 April.
