Man Arrested After Brazen Home Invasion and Car Collision in York Road
Police were called to a terrifying incident on Monday, 5 March at around 11:30pm after a man broke into a York Road home.
Robbery Turns Violent – Victim Threatened and Assaulted
The offender threatened the victim and demanded cash. During the robbery, he also assaulted the victim and caused significant damage to the property.
Kidnap and Crash at Cashpoint – Suspect Flees Scene
The attacker forced the victim into a car and drove towards a nearby cashpoint. However, the suspect crashed into a stationary vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Billy Friend, 43, Charged With Multiple Offences
After an investigation, officers arrested 43-year-old Billy Friend of Star Lane, Orpington, on Wednesday, 6 March.
