Cop Fired for Sending Lewd Pic to Ex-Colleague
Probationary officer PC Emilio Touceda has been sacked from the Met after sending an unsolicited explicit photo to a former police staffer. The shocking misconduct fell short of the standards expected of any officer, let alone one sworn to serve and protect.
Top Brass Slam ‘Repellent’ Behaviour
Superintendent Mike Hamer, in charge at Central East Command Unit, said: “Sending such graphic images to an innocent and unsuspecting person is repellent and totally unacceptable. This must have been a dreadful experience for the lady concerned and she has quite rightly reported this wholly inappropriate behaviour to us.”
He added, “PC Touceda’s actions were wrong and fell way below the standards I expect of anyone, let alone a police officer. This officer has quite rightly been dismissed from the Metropolitan Police Service as will any officer who behaves in such a reprehensible manner.”
Investigation Leads to Dismissal
- The woman reported the incident to police in May 2021.
- PC Touceda was put on restricted duties in June 2021.
- He gave a cautioned statement in September 2021.
- Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards investigated and found a case for gross misconduct.
- On 18 October, a panel led by an independent chair decided he should be dismissed without notice.
Prosecution Dropped but Career Over
The Crown Prosecution Service later ruled there wasn’t enough evidence for a criminal case. However, PC Touceda will be placed on the Barred List by the College of Policing, banning him from any police or law enforcement-related employment.
