Man Arrested After Threats in St Michael’s Street
Kent Police rushed to St Michael’s Street, Folkestone, just before 1am on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Officers responded to reports of a man making threats to people inside a property.
A 28-year-old man, identified as Liam Thomas from St Michael’s Street, was swiftly arrested at a nearby address.
Serious Charges Hit the Accused
Thomas now faces multiple charges including racially aggravated harassment, possession of a knife, criminal damage, and using threatening words or behaviour.
He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court the very next day, November 18, and was remanded in custody. His next court date at Canterbury Crown Court is still to be set.
Police Take Tough Stance on Hate and Knife Crime
PC Constance Bowler, from the Folkestone Local Policing Team, said: “Kent Police will not tolerate knife crime, hate crime or anti-social behaviour of any kind. We will always act to protect anyone at risk and bring offenders to justice.”
