Perfume Pilfering Spree Rocks Tunbridge Wells Town Centre

Kent Police are hunting the culprit behind a string of thefts across Tunbridge Wells town centre over the past month. The brazen crimes centre around high-end scents and festive goods.

Fenwick Targeted Twice in October

On 7 October, thieves made off with multiple bottles of perfume from Fenwick in Royal Victoria Place. The department store faced another hit on 31 October, losing more perfume. That same day, a smash-and-grab attempt targeted The Perfume Store but was unsuccessful.

Thefts Span Boots and Tesco in Pembury Road

The West Kent Victim Based Crime Team’s investigation uncovered further shoplifting, including items stolen from Boots and even Christmas trees swiped from Tesco on Pembury Road.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Thomas Robertson, 58, of London Road, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, was arrested on 8 November. He faces four counts of theft plus an attempted theft. Robertson is bailed to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 11 December.
