Drug-Driving Dealer Banged Up for Nearly Four Years
Josef Gordon, 29, from Old Town, was caught red-handed driving his Vauxhall Astra on Cricklade Road on 6th August 2019. A roadside drug wipe came back positive, sparking a police search of his car.
Drugs and Dangerous Weapons Found
Officers found packets of cocaine and a bladed weapon during the search. Gordon quickly pleaded guilty to three offences: possession with intent to supply cocaine, carrying a bladed article, and drug driving.
Hard Hitting Sentence
On Thursday 10th December, Swindon Crown Court handed down an immediate 43-month jail sentence. PC Sam Bridgeman said, “This result sends a clear message – drug dealing and drug driving won’t be tolerated.”
Wiltshire Police Crack Down on Drink and Drug Drivers
PC Bridgeman added that Wiltshire Police’s annual December campaign targets drug and drink drivers. “If you know someone regularly breaking the law by drink or drug driving, call 101,” he urged. “Give us the driver’s details, car registration, and when they usually offend.”
Don’t let dangerous drivers off the hook – report them now and keep Wiltshire’s roads safe.
