Brutal Attack in Whitstable Ends with Jail for Violent Ex
Mark Walker stormed into a woman’s home in December 2020, viciously attacking her and breaking her teeth before she managed to escape through a window. The terrifying ordeal left the victim fearing for her life.
Ignored Ban, Drunken Rage and Violent Assault
Walker, 46, of South Street, Whitstable, clearly flouted a court order banning contact with the victim. On 16 December, drunk and aggressive, he arrived uninvited, drinking in front of her and quickly turning violent. He punched the woman repeatedly, strangled her, and threatened to kill her.

Violent Man Found Hiding, Attacks Police
Officers found the woman outside, injured and shaken. A search of the property revealed Walker hiding behind a wardrobe. During his arrest, he lashed out, landing two punches on a police officer’s face.
The victim’s facial injuries needed hospital treatment, highlighting the brutality of the assault.
Four Years Behind Bars for Assault and Perverting Justice
At Canterbury Crown Court, Walker admitted assaulting an emergency worker. Following a trial, he was convicted of grievous bodily harm, threats to kill, and trying to bribe the victim from prison into giving a false statement.
On 1 June, he was sentenced to four years in prison.
“The victim showed incredible courage and strength to give her evidence in open court, having already endured so much abuse from Walker,” said DC Sam Mayne of Kent Police’s Vulnerability Investigation Team.
“I hope her actions will inspire others to come forward and seek help if they find themselves in similar situations. Nobody should ever feel they have nowhere to turn.”
