Repeat Burglar Nabbed with Flick Knife in Brighton

Naomi Rosenberg, 42, has been jailed for 14 months after a spree of burglaries targeting Brighton’s Brunswick Pub and Komedia. The Phoenix Rise local struck twice at the Brunswick Pub in September 2022, making off with cash and bottles of spirits, before stealing a bicycle from Komedia later that month.

Burglar Arrested and Brought to Justice

Rosenberg was arrested and released on conditional bail as the police investigation continued. However, trouble caught up with her on October 24, when she turned up to sign on at John Street Police Station and was found carrying a flick knife. She was immediately arrested again, charged for the burglaries and knife possession, and remanded in custody.

Detectives Praise Swift Police Action

“We are proud that a prompt and robust investigation against Rosenberg has removed her from being able to reoffend for quite some time,” said Detective Sergeant Jo Benton of the Greenfinch burglary team. “Our team’s mission is to take persistent offenders off Brighton & Hove’s streets and reassure the public and local businesses.”

“We will continue to crack down on criminals, and we thank members of the public whose tips and footage helped build the case against Rosenberg.”
