Woman Found Dead in Tottenham Alleyway
A woman’s body was discovered in a London alleyway on Sunday afternoon, sparking a police investigation.
Tragic Discovery on Grange Road
The unidentified woman was found unresponsive at 1.08pm on April 2nd on Grange Road, Tottenham, N17. She was pronounced dead at the scene—a long alley behind homes and warehouses.
Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after receiving reports. Despite their efforts, the woman could not be saved.
Neighbours Heard Disturbing Screams
Locals reported hearing loud screaming early Sunday morning, describing it as a noisy argument between a man and a woman.
“We heard screaming in the early morning, it sounded like a man and a woman arguing very loudly,” one neighbour told the Evening Standard. “I mistook it for a husband and wife squabble and tried to ignore them.”
Another neighbour saw the woman’s body being carried away on a stretcher around 10pm that evening.
Ongoing Investigation
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the death is being treated as unexpected. No arrests have been made so far.
A spokesperson said: “Enquiries are being conducted to establish the woman’s identity and next of kin. The investigation is ongoing.”
