Detective Praises Shop Worker’s Courage

“This criminal armed himself with a weapon with the sole purpose of robbing a local shop,” said Detective Constable Megan Collins of the Kent Crime Squad. “He threatened a woman who bravely stood up to his demands and was ultimately taken into custody.”

“Had Briggs succeeded, this small business would have suffered significant losses. Crimes like this hit local businesses hard and threaten their survival. He should be ashamed. I thank the victim and witnesses who helped bring him to justice and keep Wrotham safe to live and work.”
