Man Charged After Shocking Assault and Spitting Spree at Police

Violent Attack Inside Folkestone Home

A man in his 50s was left with facial injuries following a brutal assault inside a Folkestone house on Wood Avenue at around 12:30pm on 1 October. The suspect, 35-year-old Adam Woolnough, was quickly arrested after Kent Police arrived on the scene.

Armed and Defiant

Officers found Woolnough in possession of a retractable knife. Shocking footage or reports reveal he spat at a police officer not once, but three times during the arrest.

  • Making threats to kill
  • Possessing a knife in a public place
  • Assaulting an emergency services worker

The man, who has no fixed address, faces all four charges. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 3 October. His next court appearance at 1 Crown Court is set for Monday, 2 November.
