Hotel Manager Jailed for 13 Years After Raping and Assaulting Women Across London

A hotel manager who raped one woman and sexually assaulted three others while working at various London hotels has been locked up for 13 years. The Metropolitan Police are now urging any other potential victims to step forward.

Ahmed Fahmy’s Sick Crimes Uncovered

Ahmed Fahmy, 46, from West Heath Drive, Barnet, was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court of rape and three counts of sexual assault after a two-week trial. Sentenced on Wednesday, April 23, he’s also been slapped onto the sex offenders’ register and banned from working in any hospitality role.

The offences span a staggering 16 years—from 2008 right up to early 2024—and were revealed after a complex police investigation that began in January 2024.

Predator’s Pattern of Abuse

“Fahmy used manipulation to abuse his position as a hotel worker and get close to his victims. He demonstrated a clear pattern of offending and abuse,” said Detective Constable James Gomm, who led the probe.

“We believe there may be more victims who haven’t yet come forward. If you encountered Fahmy, please contact us. You will be listened to and receive specialist support and guidance.”

The investigation kicked off after two women reported sex attacks following stays at a Barnet hotel where Fahmy worked. One victim woke to find him licking her feet. Another was coerced into remaining in Fahmy’s room before being raped. Further inquiries connected him to two more assaults—one in Royal Victoria Dock, E16, and another at a property in Alliance Close, Wembley.

Five Hotels, One Dangerous Staffer

Fahmy worked across five hotels in London and beyond, including:

  • West Heath Drive, Barnet
  • Royal Victoria Dock, E16
  • Alliance Close, Wembley
  • South Way, Wembley
  • Bridge, Marlow

None of these hotels are part of the same chain. Police suspect there could be more victims and locations. Fahmy reportedly abused his position to sneak into guest rooms or lure women into his own under false pretences.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal

The Met is calling on anyone who came into contact with Fahmy—whether guests or staff—to speak up.

“If you experienced anything inappropriate, please get in touch,” urged DC Gomm.

Some victims may be based outside London or even abroad, as some incidents involved international guests.
