Man Arrested After Serious Hit-and-Run in Margate

A man has been nabbed following a nasty collision in Margate that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

Victim Airlifted to London Hospital

Kent Police rushed to Canterbury Road at around 9pm on Monday, 28 April after reports a car had struck a pedestrian.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was found badly hurt at the scene. Emergency services airlifted him to a London hospital for urgent treatment.

Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Hit-and-Run Driver Caught and Bailed

The driver fled the scene before police arrived, sparking an urgent investigation.

By Wednesday, 30 April, officers arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been interviewed and released on bail, pending further inquiries.

Kent Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
