Drug Dealer Busted in Brighton and Jailed for Over Two Years
Roland Dine Caught Red-Handed
A 27-year-old man has landed 28 months behind bars after police caught him dealing cocaine in Brighton. Roland Dine, with no fixed address, was spotted by officers making a drug deal on Camelford Street on December 8.
Stop and Search Reveals Drugs and Cash
Police tailed Dine to the Old Steine and stopped him for a search. They found multiple wraps of cocaine and a substantial wad of cash. He was immediately arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
Swift Justice in the Courts
Dine was found guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court the very next day and remanded in custody. On March 15, Lewes Crown Court sentenced him to 28 months in prison.
Police Crack Down on Brighton’s Drug Trade
Detective Constable Kizzie Evenett said: “The supply of illegal drugs fuels enormous harm in our communities and will not be tolerated in Brighton and Hove.
“Thanks to the swift work of our officers on patrol, dangerous substances have been taken off the streets and a man responsible for distributing them is behind bars.”
