Burglar Jailed for Pub and Restaurant Raids on Beckenham High Street

Aaron Robinson, 33, has been locked up for a year after targeting several pubs and restaurants along Beckenham High Street. His spree saw him nicking cash and booze from local hotspots over a month-long crime wave.

Multiple Thefts at Local Eateries

Between May 18 and June 15, Robinson struck repeatedly. He hit the Greek restaurant Yammas twice and raided the Latin eatery Paloma three times. Erin’s pub was also on his hit list. His brazen thefts rattled local businesses and customers alike.

Swift Arrest and Court Appearance

The police caught Robinson on June 15. He then refused to give a drug test sample. At Bromley Magistrates’ Court on June 17, he pleaded guilty to six counts of theft. Magistrates handed him a one-year prison sentence, condemning his “flagrant disregard for people and their property.” No compensation order was imposed.

Community Reacts as Police Boost Security

Local bosses suffered financial hits, sparking fears over safety and security in the area. Authorities have vowed to step up patrols and improve security for businesses to stop any repeat of Robinson’s crimes.

Residents are urged to stay informed on crime updates by following the local police on social media or visiting their official website.
