Drug Dealer Busted After Crash Thanks to Off-Duty Cop
Drug dealer Kya Evans, 21, from Careau, is behind bars after crashing his illegal Suron bike on Pentrebane Road on October 15. An off-duty police officer zipped in to detain him at the scene.
Crack, Heroin, Cash and Phones Found
Evans was caught with crack cocaine, heroin, a large wad of cash, and two phones. The off-duty officer was on his way to work when he swooped in to stop the suspect.
Another Man Arrested for Threatening Officer
Chaos erupted as another man waved weapons and threatened to assault the officer. He was quickly arrested for affray.
Three Years Inside for Evans
On December 11, Evans pleaded guilty at cardiff/" title="Cardiff" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Cardiff Crown Court to possession with intent to supply crack and heroin. He was slapped with a three-year prison sentence.
Detective Inspector Tim Jones said: “I am really proud of the actions of my officer, showing our strong commitment to tackling county lines drug dealing. We also thank the public and a group of cyclists whose video evidence helped the case.”
