Drug Dealer Caught Red-Handed in Cardiff Sting

Ahmed Mohamed, 28, was arrested on November 24, 2025, outside his Cardiff apartment in The Boulevard. Police swooped as he pulled up in his rented car, linking him to a mobile used alongside a known drug phone.

Bizarre Excuses Fall Flat with Police

Officers found crack cocaine hidden in Mohamed’s underpants during a search, along with more drugs, digital scales, a money counting machine, and a knife. Mohamed claimed the drug phone belonged to a dealer friend who’d dropped it in a puddle and dried it in rice.

He insisted the drugs, worth over £3,000, were for personal use and that hiding them in his pants was to keep them safe. The money counting machine? Just a prop for a music video, he said.

Packed Evidence Forces Guilty Plea

The Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Unit built a watertight case. Mohamed pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and cocaine, possession of a knife in public, driving while disqualified, and acquiring criminal property.

Judge Condemns Lies, Sends Mohamed Down for 52 Months

On January 30, Cardiff Crown Court handed Mohamed a 52-month prison sentence. His ridiculous stories failed to keep him out of jail.
