Child Rapist Slapped with 14 Years for Sick Staffordshire Abuse
Thomas Green’s Heinous Crimes Exposed
Thomas Green, 28, from Cross Heath, Newcastle-under-Lyme, was slammed with a 14-year prison sentence on December 19. The predator pleaded guilty to two counts of raping a child under 16, along with sexual activity with a child under 16 and breaching a restraining order.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court branded Green “especially dangerous” after an assessment by HHJ Smith. He was also handed a three-year extended licence and hit with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to keep him under tight watch once released.
Victim’s Bravery Shines Through
The victim showed incredible courage by coming forward in January to reveal Green’s abuse during summer 2024. Despite an existing restraining order, Green brazenly broke the rules during the police probe. He was nabbed in April and remained in custody until sentencing.
Detective Constable Katy Jones said: “I am pleased that we’ve been able to secure this outcome against a sex offender who committed crimes against a child in our community.
“The victim has shown enormous strength in reporting what Green did.
“I would urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences to report it to us. You will be listened to and supported by specially trained officers, who will do everything in their power to see that justice is done.”
