Two Dead and One Injured After Late-Night Horror in Brentwood

Police sprang into action at around 1.30am after multiple calls flooded in from Regency Court — including from ambulance crews. When officers arrived, they found three people injured. Sadly, despite desperate efforts by paramedics, two of the victims have now died.

Specialist officers are supporting the families of the deceased as a forensic post-mortem is set to uncover the exact cause of death. The third victim is stable, suffering injuries described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Police Launch Full-Scale Investigation

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Clarkson, leading the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate probe, revealed the night-long investigation is ongoing.

“This incident has required an immediate and large-scale response. Officers and investigators have worked tirelessly to piece together what happened in the lead-up to this tragic event,”

said Clarkson.

“We understand the community will be shocked and concerned. But at this stage, we do not believe there is any wider threat to the public.”

Officials Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Clarkson called on anyone who witnessed anything between 1am and 2am in Regency Court or nearby roads to come forward immediately if they haven’t already.

Chief Inspector Mark Barber assured the public that a “highly visible police presence” will remain in Brentwood throughout the day to reassure residents and maintain safety.

“I know this incident will shock many people. My officers will be on hand all day to support and protect you. If you have any information or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to us,”

Barber added.
