Knife Attack Sparks Major Police Haul in Chatham
A violent knife assault near Chatham’s High Street sparked a swift Kent Police response, ending with a haul of cocaine and multiple knives seized on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Suspect Caught After Assault on Officers
The ordeal began around 10am when a man called police, reporting he had been slashed across the face with a knife. Officers raced to the scene and arrested 20-year-old Miguel Fiorenzi from Meadowbank Road. During the arrest, two officers were attacked but managed to detain him.
Serious Charges and Court Date Set
- Fiorenzi faces multiple charges: aggravated burglary, wounding with intent, possession of offensive weapons in public and private, class A drug supply, and assaulting emergency workers twice.
- Officers seized three knives and about 50 deals of cocaine during a search of the property.
- He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 6.
