Coke Dealer’s High-Speed Bust Ends with Jail Time!
Chased Through Margate Streets
Ryan Riddell-Broomfield, 29, tried to shake off police in a black BMW on Ramsgate Road, Margate. When he spotted the patrol car behind him on Sunday 17 March 2019, he punched the accelerator, desperate to escape. But officers quickly caught up, and he was forced to stop.
Drugs and Cash Found on Arrest
A search of Riddell-Broomfield revealed £235 in cash and a stash of cocaine. His luck didn’t last—officers raided his Lister Road home, uncovering £454 in coins, more packets of cocaine, ecstasy tablets, and drug-dealing paraphernalia. Even damning phone messages exposed his trafficking activities.
Jailed for Supplying Class A Drugs
Riddell-Broomfield admitted to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday 16 January 2020.
“Offenders like Ryan Riddell-Broomfield play a key role in the supply of drugs in Kent, which can often have a devastating impact on the lives of those who abuse such harmful substances,” said PC Chris Bungard.
“He has expressed regret for his actions and I hope he can use the time he will now spend in prison to turn his life around.”
