Deadly Messages While High on Cocaine

The case was heard at Salisbury Crown Court on 14 May, where Hewitt pleaded guilty to malicious communication and threats to kill.
Suspended Sentence and Tough Conditions
Judge sentenced Hewitt to a nine-month prison term, suspended for two years. Alongside this, Hewitt must:
- Complete 100 hours of unpaid work
- Attend 12 rehab sessions with Turning Point, a substance misuse support service
Police Stand Firm Against Threats
PC Nic Blake of Wiltshire Police said:
“We take reports of this nature very seriously, and threats of violence towards women are unacceptable. I would urge anyone who is being threatened to reach out and tell someone. You are not alone.”
Wiltshire Police reminded the public that domestic abuse includes physical, sexual, psychological, financial abuse, threats, intimidation, and stalking.
Help is Out There for Victims
If you or someone you know is suffering from domestic abuse, police urge you to seek help from the authorities or local support agencies. As PC Blake added:
“You’re not to blame for what’s happening. Help is available, even if you’re not ready to speak to police.”
