Sharaz Ali Vanishes After Stabbing Wife

Police are urgently hunting 43-year-old Sharaz Ali, convicted of attempted murder for stabbing his wife in Stechford, Birmingham, on September 10, 2021. Ali skipped his trial in August 2022 and was convicted in his absence. Since then, he has vanished without a trace.

West Midlands Police Chase Leads to South London

West Midlands Police have issued a bench warrant and launched a nationwide search. They now believe Ali may be hiding in South London, with Croydon the prime suspect spot. A police spokesperson said:

“We’ve been working hard to trace his whereabouts and understand he had been known to stay in Croydon, London. We are working with other police forces and investigating his previous movements to locate him.”

Public Warned: Do Not Approach

Authorities warn Ali is dangerous and the public should not attempt to confront him. Anyone spotting him or with information should call 999 immediately and quote investigation number 20/1410584/21.
