Catalytic Converter Thieves Caught After High-Speed Chase in West Sussex
Three men have been arrested in Sussex following a dramatic pursuit linked to catalytic converter thefts.
Thieves Spotted at Henfield Industrial Estate
Officers were called to Mackley Industrial Estate in Henfield around 8.30pm on Monday, December 5, after reports of a theft in progress.
Police Chase Ends in Crawley
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle but were quickly tracked by police cameras. Marked police units and the NPAS helicopter gave chase.
The chase ended in Boleyn Close, Crawley, where all three suspects bolted on foot.
Suspects Arrested and Held
- A 27-year-old man from Epsom was arrested for theft from a motor vehicle.
- A 43-year-old man with no fixed address faces multiple charges including theft from a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, possession of Class A drugs (heroin), failing to stop, and going equipped for theft.
- A 38-year-old man from Southerham was arrested for theft from a motor vehicle and failing to stop.
All three remain in police custody as investigations continue.
