Cyclist Critically Injured in Portsmouth Smash

A cyclist has been left fighting for life after a crash with a car in Portsmouth yesterday evening.

Serious Crash at Busy Roundabout

Police rushed to a collision at 6.10pm on June 1st at the junction of Fawcett Road and Fratton Bridge roundabout, Southsea. The crash involved a male cyclist and a Citroen DS3.

Cyclist Airlifted to Hospital

The 55-year-old cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition.

Driver Unharmed, Police Appeal for Witnesses

The driver of the car escaped without injury. Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle before the crash.
