Killer of Damilola Taylor Banged Up Again After Shocking Crash
Ricky Preddie, who helped murder 10-year-old Damilola Taylor back in 2000, is behind bars once more. The now 32-year-old, known also as Ricky Johnson, crashed into a female police officer, landing him a four-year jail sentence.
From Manslaughter to Dangerous Driving
Preddie was just 13 when he and his 12-year-old brother Danny killed schoolboy Damilola Taylor, a crime that rocked the nation. Both were jailed for eight years for manslaughter in 2006.
New Sentence at Harrow Crown Court
On Thursday at Harrow Crown Court, Preddie pleaded guilty to a string of offences:
- Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- Driving while disqualified
- Failing to stop
- Driving without insurance
Scotland Yard confirmed Preddie faces a 12-year driving ban once he’s out of prison.
