Security Guard’s Tip Leads to Arrest

Chief Inspector Steve Kent was tipped off by a security guard about two men acting suspiciously near Union Street on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Quick Stop Uncovers Suspected Fake Perfumes

As the pair tried to leave the town centre in a car, Kent stopped them. A bag search uncovered bottles believed to be counterfeit fragrances.

One Man Arrested on Court Warrant

Further checks revealed one of the men was wanted on a court warrant. He was promptly arrested.

The seized items are now under scrutiny by Kent County Council Trading Standards.
