Predator jailed after teen raped at north London bus stop
Deangelo Brown, 23, from Luton, has been found guilty of raping a 15-year-old near Harlesden High Street.
Harrow Crown Court Convicts Brown
Brown was convicted on Tuesday, 15 September, of rape and sexual activity with a child. He is set for sentencing on Tuesday, 3 November at Harrow Crown Court.
Chilling Attack at Bus Stop
The terrifying assault happened on the morning of 10 March. Brown approached the teenager at a bus stop, asked her age, then forced her to follow him into a nearby alleyway where he attacked her.
A member of the public witnessed the attack and rushed to help. They escorted the victim to Harlesden police station where she bravely reported the crime.
Swift Police Action and Support for Victim
- Officers quickly circulated Brown’s description and arrested him nearby.
- The victim was taken to a Haven centre and received specialist support.
Detective Constable Samantha said: “I want to praise the bravery and composure of this young girl after such a horrifying ordeal. Brown is a dangerous predator who’s been rightly convicted. Thanks to the witness who helped her and walked her to the police station. Anyone who’s suffered a sexual offence should report it so we can get offenders off the streets.”
