Early Morning Brawl on Oxford Street Leaves Man Fighting for Life

Police were scrambled just after 3am on Friday, 14 October, after reports of a violent fight involving three men at a bus stop on the corner of Oxford Street and Hills Place.

Victim Suffers Serious Head Injuries

Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. One man, in his 50s, was rushed to hospital with severe head wounds. He remains under treatment after suffering multiple bleeds on the brain and fractures to his skull.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Footage

Detectives reviewed CCTV footage and launched a full investigation. They are now urgently appealing to the public for any information.

Detective Constable Corie Shorrock said: “We know a large number of people were in the area and may have witnessed the fight. Some may even have photos or video of the incident and I would ask them to contact us immediately.”

Man Arrested and Released on Bail

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
