Nottingham Man, 26, Busted for Terror Plot Prep
William Howitt, 26, from Holme Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, is due in court today at Westminster Magistrates’ for charges linked to terrorism.
Arrest After Counter-Terror Sting
Howitt was arrested on Tuesday, 14 March, during a Counter Terrorism Policing East Midlands operation. He faces charges under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006 for preparing terrorist acts.
Police Urge Public Vigilance
Detective Inspector Christopher Brett said: “Police will always act on information relating to terrorism and I would urge anyone who witnesses anything suspicious to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.”
