Brawl at Fast-Food Joint Sparks Major Police Operation in Ramsgate

Kent Police rushed to a fast-food spot on King Street after a punch-up broke out just after 2am on Saturday, 25 March 2023. The chaos followed another scuffle earlier that night in the Harbour Street area.

Four Men Arrested – Two Needed Hospital Treatment

Officers detained four men from Ramsgate that same evening. Two required hospital treatment but have since been released into police custody. The suspects face serious charges:

  • Finley Goldsmith, 19, Park Road – charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
  • Samuel Giles, 21, Bradley Road – charged with affray, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • Alfie Mason, 19, Queensgate Road – charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
  • Jack Bamford, 21, no fixed address – charged with possession of an offensive weapon, grievous bodily harm, affray, plus several other offences from unrelated incidents.

All four are locked up and due in court at Folkestone Magistrates’ on Monday, 27 March 2023.

Taxi Driver Stabbed and Robbed in Ramsgate

The drama doesn’t end there. Police are still hunting for information after a taxi driver was attacked on Margate Road around 11.20pm on Friday, 24 March. The driver was robbed by a passenger and suffered stab wound injuries, luckily non-life-threatening.

One man has been arrested over the incident but has been released on bail as enquiries continue.
