Man, 30, Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in Hayes
Arrest Made in Early Morning Attack
Adejuwon Olufemi Alexander Jnr Oyekan, 30, from Melina Close, Hayes, was arrested on Tuesday, 11 July on suspicion of murder. The very next day, Wednesday 12 July, he was formally charged.
Victim Dies at Scene
The charge stems from a stabbing at a residential property on Melina Close. Emergency services found a 54-year-old man inside the home at 4:33am, suffering from a stab wound. Despite desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect and Victim Known to Each Other
Police confirmed the victim and Oyekan were known to one another. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, 13 July.
