Young man held over brutal Morden stabbing murder
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing in south London.
Fatal attack outside Morden flats
Police were called just before 11pm on Thursday, 1 October, following reports of a stabbing outside a block of flats on London Road, Morden.
Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene where they found two men with stab wounds.
Paramedics battled to save 25-year-old Patrick Gomes De’Almeida, but he was pronounced dead at 11.26pm.
Second victim fights for recovery
A 33-year-old man was also stabbed and taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The 20-year-old suspect was taken to a south London police station on Friday, 9 October, where he remains in custody.
Police hunt witnesses to deadly attack
Detectives are urging anyone who saw the stabbing or has information to come forward.
