Police Hunt Desmond Mark Over String of South-East London Burglaries
Desmond Mark, 51, is wanted in connection with a spate of residential burglaries across Deptford, Brockley, Catford, and New Cross. The Met’s South East Burglary and Robbery Investigation Team believe he may be lurking in these areas.
What Mark Looks Like
Mark is a black man, around 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build. He has scruffy facial hair and pock-marked skin. Police believe he’s currently walking with a limp, making him more recognisable.
Burglary Spree Details
- Tuesday, 18 August – Vesta Road, SE4
- Friday, 2 October – Halesworth Road, SE13
- Saturday, 3 October – Barriedale Road, SE14
- Monday, 26 October – Inchmery Road, SE6
- Tuesday, 27 October – Sayes Court Street, SE8
All incidents involve residential burglaries, with the police piecing together evidence from each scene.
Police Plea for Info
“Someone must have information on where he is,” said Detective Inspector Martin Thomas. “We urgently want to speak to Desmond Mark and remind the public that harbouring a wanted person could be a criminal offence.”
