Man Knocked Out in Brutal Worksop Attack – Suspect Charged
Police rushed to Prospect Precinct, Worksop, after a 42-year-old man was knocked unconscious in a vicious assault on Wednesday, 4 May 2022.
Victim Hospitalised After Serious Attack
The victim suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for urgent treatment following the attack.
Suspect Charged and Remanded in Custody
Jamie Speak, 47, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He appeared at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6 May, and was remanded in custody. Speak is set to face Nottingham Crown Court on 3 June 2022.
Police Clamp Down on Violent Crime
Detective Sergeant Richard Kinsey of Nottinghamshire Police said: “A man suffered serious facial injuries and had to be rushed to hospital for treatment following this nasty incident.
“We have been able to charge a suspect in connection with this case and criminal proceedings are now underway.
“I hope this development reassures people just how seriously we take all reports of violent crime.”
