Man stabbed in daring watch snatch on Lots Road
Police were called to Lots Road, SW10, on Friday 14 January after a man was stabbed during a robbery attempt.
Attack caught victim off guard
The 34-year-old victim reported parking his car and heading to the boot when a man suddenly grabbed him from behind. The attacker demanded the man’s watch, trying to snatch it from his wrist.
A violent struggle ensued. The victim was slashed in the hand and stabbed in the right thigh. Despite his injuries, he managed to toss the watch under a nearby parked car. The suspect then fled on the back of a waiting moped.
Victim treated by air ambulance
London Ambulance Services, including the air ambulance, responded swiftly and took the victim to hospital for treatment.
Police release suspect images, urge public for help
Detective Constable Christopher Bateman from the Central West robbery squad said: “This attack left the victim with serious injuries, but thankfully it could have been much worse. There’s no place for violent criminals with weapons in our streets.”
He added: “The suspect wore a distinctive top. We urge anyone who recognises it or knows this man to come forward.”
