Man Charged with Murder of Mother in Dagenham Stabbing
Detectives have charged a man with murder after a fatal stabbing in Dagenham. Nicolas Aina, 28, from Auriel Avenue, RM10, faces charges over the death of his 64-year-old mother, Caroline Adeyelu.
Attempted Murder Charge for Second Victim
Aina is also accused of attempting to murder another woman in her 30s. The woman was stabbed during the same incident but is now in a stable condition in hospital.
Court Appearance and Investigation Details
The stabbing occurred at around 9:35pm on Sunday, 30 October, when police were called to Auriel Avenue. Caroline Adeyelu was pronounced dead at the scene.
Aina appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 1 November, and was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 3 November.
