Man Stabbed to Death in North London Fight

Police rushed to Shelley House on Boyton Road, N8, at 6.04pm on Monday, 9 December after the London Ambulance Service reported a fight and a stabbing. Officers found 47-year-old James O’Keefe with a fatal stab wound to his leg.

Victim Dies at Scene

Tragically, O’Keefe was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem at Haringey Public Mortuary on Wednesday, 11 December confirmed the cause of death as blood loss from a single stab wound to the thigh.

Suspect Charged and Remanded

George Nolan, 54, from Mount Pleasant Road, N17, was charged with James O’Keefe’s murder on Wednesday, 11 December. He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court the same day and has been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 13 December.

Second Man Released

A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with the stabbing was later released without charge.
