Man Charged Over Stabbing Murder of Kingston Teen Archie Beston
Tyron Bryan Held on Murder Charge
Detectives investigating the stabbing death of 20-year-old Archie Beston in Kingston have charged a man with his murder. Tyron Bryan, aged 20, from Willingham Way, was arrested on 29 February at the scene on Wood Street where Archie was found with fatal stab wounds.
Bryan initially faced charges including possession of offensive weapons and affray. After appearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on 2 March, he was remanded in custody. On 12 March, he was formally charged with murder and grievous bodily harm (GBH). He is due to appear again on 13 March at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court before his trial at Kingston Crown Court later this month.
Another Man Charged Amid Ongoing Investigation
Police also arrested 20-year-old Finley Ahwan on 1 March. He faces charges of attempted grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving. Ahwan was granted bail after a hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on 3 March and is set to appear alongside Bryan at Kingston Crown Court on 26 March.

- Two other men were arrested in connection with the incident.
- One was held on suspicion of attempted murder on 29 February but has since been bailed.
- The second man, arrested on suspicion of affray, was released with no further action.
Tragic Timeline of Events
Police were called at approximately 3.40am on 29 February after reports of a disturbance on Wood Street, Kingston. Emergency crews found Archie Beston suffering from stab wounds. Despite immediate first aid and hospital treatment, Archie was sadly pronounced dead on 6 March.
