Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce Snaps Up Knife Carrier in East London
Fresh from a weekend haul of knives, drugs, and even a firearm off London’s streets, the Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce struck again on Monday evening. At around 6pm, officers on patrol in Waltham Forest, N17, stopped a 24-year-old man who was caught carrying a deadly twin-bladed weapon.

The man was searched on the spot, and the knife was immediately seized. He was swiftly taken into custody at an east London police station as the crackdown on violent crime continues apace.
Undercover and Unseen – But Always There
Inspector Peter Moxham of the Violent Crime Taskforce warned criminals not to be fooled by their covert tactics:
“Quite often, we are patrolling in undercover vehicles and dressed in plain clothes – just because you cannot see us, does not mean we are not around.”
The message is clear: London’s streets are no safe haven for knife carriers while the Met amps up its relentless pursuit of violent offenders.
