Second Man Charged Over Brutal Murder of Asante Campbell
Detectives have charged a second suspect in the chilling murder of 24-year-old Asante Campbell in Hendon. Kofi Abusah, 19, with no fixed address, was arrested in Colchester on 11 March and charged with murder the next evening.
He is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Victim Found With Fatal Stab Wounds After Car Collision
Police were called just after 9pm on Saturday, 29 February, after reports of a silver VW Polo crashing into a parked car on Parson Street, NW4.
Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade found Asante inside the vehicle suffering stab wounds. He was rushed to a north London hospital but sadly died later that evening.
First Suspect Already in Custody
Another man, Hafid Abdi Mohammed Omar, 19, of Edgware, was arrested on 3 March on suspicion of murder. He was charged two days later and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 5 March.
Details of his next court hearing have yet to be announced.
