Third Brother Charged Over Newham Stabbing Murder
New Arrest Rocks Newham Murder Case
Detectives investigating the brutal stabbing of Leshawn Williams have charged a third man with murder. Daniel Hyde, 31, from Gatcombe Road, E16, voluntarily attended a south London police station on Wednesday, 22 January. He was charged the following day with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Daniel is set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 24 January.
Two Brothers Already Behind Bars
Daniel joins his two brothers already charged in this chilling case. Jerome Hyde, 38, also from Gatcombe Road, was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a bladed article earlier in January. He made his first court appearance on 14 January.
The youngest brother, Michael Hyde, 28, from Swindon, was charged on 9 January and has appeared at both Bromley Magistrates’ and the Old Bailey for the murder of 29-year-old Leshawn Williams.
Details of the Shocking Crime
- Leshawn Williams was found stabbed at Hanameel Street, E16, shortly after 2am on 21 December 2019.
- He was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The trial is now scheduled for late June.
