Man, 23, Busted for Croydon Stab Murder
Arrest Made After Fatal Croydon Stabbing
Sam Odupitan, 23, from Longheath Gardens, Croydon, was arrested on 2 March. He faces charges of murder and two counts of robbery. The young man is set to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on the morning of 5 March.
Victim Dies After Stabbing in Croydon
Police launched a murder inquiry after being called to Stroud 1 Way, Croydon, shortly after midnight on Wednesday, 26 February. Tyler Roye, 24, also from Croydon, was found with stab wounds. Despite being rushed to hospital, he died at 2:46am.
Investigation Underway – Police Ask for Public Help
A post-mortem confirmed Tyler died from chest stab wounds. The Met’s Specialist Crime homicide detectives are leading the case. Anyone with information or footage from around the time of the attack is urged to contact the Incident Room on 020 8721 4868 or dial 101, quoting CAD 71/26Feb.
